Manual harvesting allows for a more precise selection of clusters, ensuring that only the best quality are collected. This minimizes waste and improves the quality of the wine. ​
Manual harvesting is less invasive, which reduces stress on the vines and contributes to their longevity and productivity. Furthermore, by avoiding heavy machinery at this point in the process, the carbon footprint and soil compaction are reduced and the local ecosystem is protected, which promotes biodiversity and the health of the vineyard.
